A hard blog?

Well, I’m a week into this blogging thing and its been great fun but – oh my – I am starting to feel a bit overwhelmed by the amount of technical things I need to figure out! Reading, and joining, Britmums and Tots100 for tips, advice, inspiration, (and to try and get noticed!).  Feels like I’m at the start of a very long road as far as that’s concerned!! Twitter – ticked off the list but still in the “just don’t really get it” phase; Google+ … erm…; RSS – what’s that? ; Pinterest…not too sure…

You get the picture.

On the plus side a little bit of HTML has just fallen out of some rusty part of my brain from about 12 years ago! But what the heck’s PHP?! Sigh.

Nobody would possibly guess that I have a masters degree in Library and Information – ha ha! At least it gives me the heads up on meta data – (I even know binary – the building blocks of all of this). Ironically my 20,000 word dissertation was on the subject of “Information Overload” and now I’m feeling it. Big time.

I’m in awe of all the amazing Mummy blogs I’ve been looking at lately too – some of you crazy people have 3 or more children and seem to have endless time, ideas and creativity – kudos.

For the time being my main aim is to produce the best blog posts possible – all this research is too time consuming – so please forgive the basic look of these pages – it is my intention to upgrade when I have the knowhow.

Oh and I’ve been meaning to watch episode three of Luther for the past three nights but time just keeps slipping away – be patient Idris – I’ll get to you eventually…
